China Aid Association
(Nanle County, Henan—Feb. 24, 2014) Nanle County Christian Church member was allowed to meet with his lawyer on Thursday for the first time since the believer disappeared into police custody on Nov. 15.

Zhao Guoli went missing when he and some other Christians traveled to Beijing to petition a higher court concerning a land dispute between the church and the Nanle County government.

Zhao, with his wife Li Bianling, runs the church orphanage, which has been in trouble since the local government froze the church’s assets in November (https://chinaaid.org/2014/02/three-nanle-county-christian-confirmed.html).

ChinaAid will continue to monitor the situation in Nanle County and update the story as more information becomes available.
