Cruz noted China Aid founder and President Bob Fu’s relentless endeavors to “promote China’s development of a constitutional government.” Cruz said he agreed with Fu’s urging United States government officials to “have the courage to urge the Chinese government, in unequivocal terms, to improve its record on human rights and the rule of law and to adopt a standard that stresses the value of universal human right.”

Cruz thanked China Aid for its work, stating he is proud to “stand … in support of religious freedom for China.”

China Aid's mission includes engaging in advocacy initiatives and campaigns to Expose religious freedom and related human rights abuse in China. Senator Ted Cruz is one of numerous allies within the U.S. Congress that have joined China Aid in promoting religious freedom and rule of law in China.
