(Wenzhou, Zhejiang—Jan. 7, 2016) The persecution of Christians in China’s coastal Zhejiang continued as officials forcibly demolished two crosses atop Nanhu Church and Dongzhuang Church, respectively, on Jan. 7.

These are the first government-backed cross demolitions in Wenzhou in 2016.

China Aid will continue to monitor and update this story as more information becomes available.

China Aid exposes religious freedom abuse, such as those experienced by Christians from Nanhu Church and Dongzhuang Church, in order to promote religious freedom and rule of law in China.
