(Lu’an, Anhui—Dec. 23, 2018) More than 30 officials from China’s Anhui province broke into Capernaum Church on the morning of Dec. 16.

The authorities, who were from the local religious affairs bureau and the Gulou police department, confiscated the church’s music equipment, projectors, computers, tables, chairs, and other materials without issuing any receipts listing the items being taken away. They also prohibited church members from filming the event.
ChinaAid exposes abuses in order to stand in solidarity with the persecuted and promote religious freedom, human rights, and rule of law. If you wish to partner with us in helping those persecuted by the Chinese government for their beliefs, please click here to make a charitable donation.
