Officials raid church, detain many Christians

(Beihai, Guangxi—June 27, 2019) Authorities raided Morningstar Church in China’s southern Guangxi province at 10:00 a.m. Beijing time yesterday and detained many Christians present.

Among those taken into custody were the church’s leaders and most prominent attendees. As of 2:00 a.m. today, none of them have been released.
