(Washington D.C. – July 10, 2019) ChinaAid President Bob Fu is set to be a featured presenter at a July 15 event called “Silicon Valley and China: The Rise Of Religious Oppression Through Tech.”

The free event next Monday is located in the Dirksen Senate Office Building and will address the use of technology as a tool of oppression against the religious in China.

Other featured presenters include Citizen Power Initiatives for China President Yang Jianli, International Religious Freedom Roundtable co-chair Greg Mitchell, and Uyghur Human Rights Project Board Chair Nury Turkel.

The event will also feature testimonies of persecution from people representing multiple faiths.

In line with the event, the China Coalition will release a multi-faith letter addressed to CEOs in Silicon Valley. The letter will call on executives to “ensure they are not complicit in the massive human rights violations committed by the Chinese Communist Party in its “’Sinification of Religion’ campaign.”

Those interested in attending are invited to register via Eventbrite. The event is set to run from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on July 15.
