(Tanghe County, Henan—Oct. 10, 2019) Authorities in China’s Henan province seized a church leader on Sept. 24, and he vanished.

Officials gave the Christian, Zhang Yongcheng, an order to demolish his church on Dec. 28. Zhang refused, so he was taken into police custody. Zhang then disappeared.

The authorities have demolished the church.

This action came after the Henan government ordered the forced demolition of many churches last year.
