Deputy National Security Advisor to give China speech

(Washington, D.C.—May 4, 2020) Matthew Pottinger, President Trump’s deputy national security advisor, will give a speech on China this morning.

The speech will be a commentary on China’s May Fourth Movement. The Movement began on May 4, 1919, when students started protesting decisions of the Chinese government.

It will be part of a larger webinar discussing China, the Ambassador William C. Symposium of American Diplomacy. Pottinger’s speech is to begin at 9 a.m. EST.
