(ChinaAid —Jan. 26, 2021) Pastor Bob Fu, founder and president of ChinaAid, encourages viewers to stand up and speak out for the freedom found only in Jesus. He reports that on January 01, New Year’s Day, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) issued its first 2021 penalty—to again detain Chen Wensheng, known as the street preacher, for 10 days for preaching the gospel.
Preacher Chen, however, like Paul, Silas, and Peter continued to joyfully share the gospel even while imprisoned—even to those guarding them. Preacher Chen’s message on the cross he displayed on the street corner proclaimed: “Glory to the Lord” and “Repent and be Saved by faith alone.” Pastor Fu encourages Christians to proclaim, Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life; that only in Him can we be truly “free.”
