(ChinaAid—Feb. 25, 2021) In China Freedom File 22—Chinese Children Forbidden to Access Religious Faith, Bob Fu, PhD recounts:

One way the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses to cut off access to independent religious faith, especially Christian faith, is to completely cut off the teaching of religion or even teaching about religion in the Chinese education system. Not only does the CCP forbid children to access religious materials or religious texts, including Bibles, now the CCP requires school teachers to pledge to strictly adhere to Marxism; to not teach nor practice any religion. Although Article 36 of the Chinese constitution “guarantees” freedom of religious belief, as the CCP has singled out access to religion in its education system, it now violates its own constitution.

Pray for children in China as well as their parents and legal guardians, that they will access, practice and teach children the Word. Pray that they learn the meaning Acts 5:29 encompasses: “…We ought to obey God rather than men.”

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
