(ChinaAid—November 26, 2021) Pastor John Cao
currently serves a severe 7-year sentence in Kunming, Yunnan Province, for building
countless bible schools and preaching the gospel to minority children in
Myanmar. He recently wrote a letter to his elderly mother and a seven-character-quatrain. ChinaAid previously published a collection of
his poems, Living Lyrics. However, the following is the newest poem from Cao:
No alcohol, no worry, and
I live a life better than youth
Passion in my heart flows
constantly like a hot spring
I am asked how come I am
so passionate
The only reason is the
lava in my heart
“I penned poetry which is
compared with those by ancestors, and the difference is that I don’t have
“worry” and “alcohol”. In addition, I am never tired. There is always heat in
my heart flowing like lava. It is a hot spring with a constant temperature. I
wrote a quatrain to reveal the difference.” –Pastor John Cao
